What in God’s name
have we become?
If you still believe
in God.
No longer the shining
light on the hill.
Were we ever?
Not even the bully.
Because it at least takes
a full measure
of courage to be
the bully.
The man in front.
No.
We are the
henchmen of
the bully.
They push down the weak.
Then we run up
and kick them
while they aren’t
looking.
We are the worst of
the bad guys.
