Anguish falls like drizzle on sparks losing sizzle
Woe is overtaking the once-bright glow
Shadow veils the love that fails
Greasy stains remain from a heart which disdains
Light dims from eyes as with every new fight
Gone is the will as hurtfulness is the skill
Words don’t match the actions scratch
The tune went sour with the uneven power
Notes of the song roam for they have no more home
