Shoulda been…

Think of a time that was the AB-SO-LUTE WORST. Not tragically the worst, but, ya know, champagne problem-style the worst. Think of every single detail.

Write about it. Write down every single solitary thing that happened. Every detail including the players, the outside observers, the location, the scents, the sounds. Most importantly, write the feelings. The emotions, the physical manifestations, and the lingering impacts after the fact. Not just the lingering impacts on you, but your global world view implications.

Can you tell I had one of these situations just before writing this?

Maybe I’ll write it down one day, but suffice it to say, I haven’t been treated like I was treated today since I was in kindergarten.

The second part of this writing inspiration is to write out what you wish had happened. Maybe the worst part never happens. Maybe the worst part still happens but your reaction is different. Maybe you never get to the place you were going where the bad thing happened. Whatever it is, write about it. Write every single solitary detail. Rewrite your story.

Then take a moment. Breathe in. Breathe out.

Keep breathing. Keep thinking of your breathing. Remember that every single day, every single moment, you have the opportunity to rewrite it all.
